To Diary
Sunday
I had a frustrating day - everything seemed to take five times longer to do than it should have, and I don’t really feel anything got accomplished. Move along people…
Monday
>I clocked up about three and a half hours of driving today, but we
- checked the video projector for the reception
- checked the photo panels
- took pictures and gifts to Forestopia
- bought a Brother MyMio (hereby referred to as the MammaMio ;-)
- had dinner with Andrew (it’d been a long time) and his mum
- and I taught a class too
I tried to ring my parents, but wasn’t able to get through. I wonder if they’ll make the plane on Tuesday on time? I hope so! ;-) Hopefully I can call them that night at their hotel. Bush looks set to announce war next Monday, so going to Wakayama will be a good idea - it’s like New Zealand in that no one realises it exists, so we should be safe. Joking aside my grandmother Bobbie is very concerned about my parents travelling with both Iraq and the mysterious pneumonia around. It seems to be a generally dark time - and we’re getting married (again, even). However I don’t think anything will dampen my happiness this Saturday!
The rest of this week will be busy:
- Tuesday is my last chance to get prepared and also my last chance to sort out the Kumano Kodo templates.
- Wednesday I’m off to Osaka to meet the parents and assorted family friends, plus buy a camera bag and some teaching books.
- Thursday we’ll get the rental car, visit Miyashou, then I’ll be teaching.
- Friday I’ll guide them around Miyagawa plus prepare for the wedding.
- Saturday Miwa and I get married - woop!
- Sunday is the soba party.
- Monday/Tuesday is Wakayama.
- Wednseday is Shima area.
- Thursday-Saturday is Kyoto/Nara/Osaka and they’re back home.
