To Diary

Finally, another post. It’s been a two-week rollercoaster ride, and I’m still recovering. The Japanese wedding was fantastic, although I ran out of energy about half-way through the reception. Seeing my parents was also fantastic, as was seeing Bill & Jan, Prue & Tom, Rosa & Graham, & John, who all came over too.

After the wedding the real fun began - between visiting 5 prefectures in 10 days, and them asking approximately 917,000 questions, it was quite an experience for all of us ;-) More details and photos as I write them (I’ve yet to even look at the trip photos).

The one negative thing during the trip is that changing the Olympus C-3030’s menu into English has affected its ability to format SmartMedia cards, and formatting a card now makes it unformattable as well as unusable. Thanks, irony. I was forced to format them via a PC, which increases the time taken to record a photo at least 5 times (an annoying 12 second wait now). I also wasn’t able to give the camera to my parents before they left (terribly sorry about that ;-) I’ll have to have a chat to Olympus next Monday.

It’s cherry blossom season, but it’s been raining and windy. Sigh. I wanna take photos!

Miwa thinks I’m cooler than Beckham! Given how popular he is in Japan, that seems like a pretty good compliment to me ;-) I don’t know if any other Japanese girls (or football fans for that matter) would agree, but it’s nice of her anyhow. Photo evidence to follow.

I finished a small website for the Kumano Gaku Forum via i-Brain (working freelance). Kumano Gaku Forum a group discussing forestry, preservation of the Kumano Kodou, and tourism. I was asked to turn the magazines of their first two meetings into pre-CSS webpages (ugh). It’s all Japanese, but if you’re interested…
