2003.04.10 Week in (bed) Review

On Monday I caught some kind bug (of the illness variety). It’s been pretty unusual. So far

  • Monday - a very sore throat
  • Tuesday - slightly sore throat, body aches, sinus pain, exhaustion
  • Wednseday - Body aches/exhaustion and tissue hell (the Japanese hana misu is nose-water in literal translation ;-)
  • Wednseday night - sweating like it’s a sauna for no reason
  • Thursday - cough, blocked nose
I found last night (Thursday) to be the most disturbing - I woke up and the sweat was dripping off me, several droplets at once. I’d literally soaked the sheet - you could clearly see the blanket below. This is the first time I’ve had anything like this, and at the time I could only think of malaria. Black humour aside, it’s been a roller-coaster illness that isn’t like the ‘flu I normally get at all. Here’s hoping for a full recovery before Miwa comes down with it!
