To Gaming
I was interested to see Halo get a mention on the BBC. As per usual the link to the original source isn’t obvious (why not link the Red vs Blue
text, instead of putting the link in an obscure side-box, like everyone else on the web does?). Anyhow, if you like games, you’ll like it. If you like Halo, I’ll be amazed if you haven’t already ROFLYAO. There are presently 15 episodes, and they’re planning on at least 22. I don’t think the journalist realises the depth of Halo fan-vids; a ‘best Halo video’ competition has just been announced.
I really hope Bungie brings in-engine film scripts to Halo 2, with a way to trade them over X-Box Live. If anyone can do that on a console, Bungie can! It whould sure ease the bandwidth issues of trading Quicktime movies of Halo action. Of course after that I’d like overly detailed end-game stats (at least as good as Marathon’s), greater configurability in the already excellent multi-player setup (including a way to sort games into categories!), the ability to start at major points in levels a la the Vidmaster’s Oath, fan-made downloadable levels…
damn Bungie rocks ;-)
PS: that’s a dumb acronym. I think I’ve just reduced the intelligence of anyone who read it. Sorry.
