Recently Visibone.com has started an ‘installed font’ survey. While there is a desperate need for this, I think the results are a little deceptive. Also I think they’ve focussed on the wrong aspect, that of installed fonts by platform, rather than looking at installed fonts by browser/OS. I’ve listed some semi-useful resources for using fonts on the web, but I’ve yet to come across the resource I’m looking for. Maybe I’ll have to make it myself :/

After the price craziness with the Apple PowerMac G5/1.8 model, and it’s replacement with a G5/1.8 dual model, I’m now holding off again for more anticipated price drops in January. I can justify this with my waiting for a new line of (cheaper, G5-complementing) LCD monitors, but all this waiting is getting silly! I hope we can buy the new computer soon :-)

I’ve been having some a rather lack-luster time on the web design front too. Despite learning quite a bit I don’t feel like I’m making much progress. However the new year is shaping up to be much better. I just hope that it will have some time for design!

I’m having an interesting time in my English teaching work. Just when things were looking a bit bleak, I’ve been offered a fairly tempting job. I find out more information next week, but I’m pretty sure next year will be very busy, and hopefully rather good for saving.
